Delta Waterways

Delta waterways are the single most important geographical feature of the State's water resources system. Historically, approximately 40 percent of the State's runoff flowed to the Delta, where last opportunity exists to develop and use this water before it mixes with saline water from the San Francisco Bay. The map shows the Delta waterways in 1993.
